The ASUS ROG Strix B850-G Gaming WiFi is a white micro-ATX AM5 motherboard for AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 Series desktop processors. It combines four DDR5 memory slots, four M.2 storage slots, WiFi 7 and Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet in a 244 × 244mm board.

The board supports up to 256GB of DDR5 memory across four DIMM slots. AMD EXPO and ASUS AEMP are supported; achievable memory speed depends on your processor, memory kit and configuration. With supported Ryzen 9000 and 7000 Series processors, the main graphics slot supports PCIe 5.0 x16. Ryzen 8000 Series processors use PCIe 4.0 x8 or x4 operation instead.
Four M.2 slots and two SATA 6Gb/s ports provide storage options. The M.2_2 slot supports PCIe 5.0 x4 with supported Ryzen 9000 and 7000 Series processors; Ryzen 8000 support is PCIe 4.0 x4 or x2. M.2_4 sits on the underside of the board. VRM and M.2 heatsinks help transfer heat from their components.

Networking includes 2×2 WiFi 7 and Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet. Full WiFi 7 functionality requires Windows 11 24H2 or later; wireless bands and features also depend on local regulations and compatible network equipment. The rear panel has ten USB ports, including one 20Gbps USB-C port.

PCIe Slot Q-Release, M.2 Q-Release, M.2 Q-Latch and Q-Antenna simplify fitting supported components. Q-LED indicators help identify startup issues. Rear BIOS FlashBack and Clear CMOS buttons support firmware maintenance and recovery.
The white PCB and metallic heatsinks suit a white build. Onboard lighting and three Addressable Gen 2 RGB headers support compatible Aura Sync lighting.
